Robert William “Bob” Applegate, her father, was an executive and a record producer, and Nancy Priddy, her mother, is an actress and singer. Not shortly after she was born, her parents split. She has two half-siblings from her father’s second marriage (Alisa and Kyle).
In 1972, Applegate made her broadcast debut in the serial opera Days of Our Lives, alongside her mother. She also appeared in commercials for Playtex baby bottles when she was 3 and 5 months old, and made her film debut in Jaws of Satan (or King Cobra) in 1981, followed by Beatlemania in 1981.

Reuters, August 10 – Christina Applegate, an Emmy-winning American actress, has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) and has described her condition as a “difficult path.” For “Dead to Me,” which was also nominated for outstanding comedy series, Applegate was nominated for a second time in the lead actress category in 2019 and 2020.
Applegate had a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. She rose to stardom as a child actress in the hit sitcom “Married With Children.”
