Jourdan Delacruz was born on May 20, 1998 and is a weightlifter from the United States. AT the Pan American Weightlifting Championship, he is a two-time gold medalist.

She took silver in the women’s 53 kg category at the 2018 Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 2018. In the same year, she competed in the 2018 World Weightlifting Championships in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in the women’s 55 kg category.
At the 2019 Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala, she won gold in the women’s 55 kg division. She also competed in the women’s 55 kg category for the United States at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

She came in fourth place. In the same year, she competed in the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, in the women’s 55 kg event.
Following this tournament, At the 2019 International Naim Suleymanoglu Tournament in Gaziantep, Turkey, she began competing in the 49 kg weight class, winning gold in this event.
She earned the women’s 49 kg gold medal in the Roma 2020 World Cup in Rome, Italy, in 2020. She also took gold in the 49 kg Snatch and 49 kg Clean & Jerk competitions. In 2021, she won gold in the women’s 49 kg category at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
She has qualified to compete for the United States in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

The first weightlifting medals will be presented early Saturday morning in the women’s 49 kg/108 lb class at the Tokyo Olympics, and an American could fight for gold.
With a total of 200 kg/440.9 lbs, Jourdan Delacruz owns the American record, as well as the record for the most weight lifted by a non-Asian lifter. The 23-year-old first-time Olympian had participated in the 55kg weight division until her coach advised her to move down to the 49 kg weight class in 2019.
