Wrestler Sushil Kumar is an Indian wrestler. He was born on May 26, 1983, in Baprola, Delhi, India. His father Diwan Singh and his mother Kamla Devi, his father was a driver. Kumar’s inspiration in opting for wrestling as a profession is his father and his cousin Sandeep
Wrestler Sushil Kumar’s cousin Sandeep left wrestling because his family has not supported him. Kumar has started taking training in wrestling at the age of 14 in pehlwani wrestling at the akhara.
He is a devote of strict vegetarian and Hindu. In the 2008 Olympics, he has not got proper training and minimal funds but even at that time, his family has managed to provide him dietary supplements.

Wrestler Sushil Kumar has started training in pehlwani at the chhatrasal stadium. He was trained by Yashvir and Rampal and later by Arjuna awardee Satpal and after that by Indian Railways camp by Gayan Singh and Rajkumar Baisla Gurjar.
He was a freestyle wrestler and his first success came at the world cadet games in 1998 and there he won the gold medal. Gold medal in 2000 at the Asian Junior Wrestling.
In 2003 he won the bronze medal at the Asian Wrestling Championship, fourth at the 2003 world championship, Gold medal in 2005, and 2007 at the commonwealth wrestling championship.
At the 2010 World Wrestling Championship, he becomes the first Indian to win a world title in wrestling. He participated in the commonwealth games in 2010 Moscow,2010 Delhi, 2014, 2018, and 2012 in London Olympics.

Sushil Kumar arrested by Delhi government
Sushil Kumar two time Olympic medalist was arrested from Delhi in connection with the murder of 23-year-old former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Dhankhar. Physical education teacher Ajay Kumar and Sushil Kumar were produced before a Delhi court.
When the FIR is filed against Sushil Kumar under IPC section 302, abduction[365] and 120B [criminal conspiracy]. He has been on the run since May 5. Dhankhar was beaten to death following a clash between two groups who had competed in the 97 kg Gerco- Roman.
On May 18 Delhi court has rejected the anticipated bail filed by Sushil Kumar and has declared the allegation against the champion wrestler were serious. Delhi police commissioner S N Shrivastava took non – bailable warrants against him from the court.
Through investigation, this is revealed that he has traveled between Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Harayana while trying to evade arrest. Delhi police have revealed that might SIM cards have been used to cover their tracks Sushil and others who are said to be involved in the May 4 clash at Chhatarshal wrestling academy.
As soon as he heard the news of 23-year-old death he left his home. He left his house on May 5, and he came to Shalimar Bagh where he met his old associate.
Later he traveled to Uttarakhand through the car and then he moved to Muzaffarnagar, and after that, they returned to Delhi. Through CCTV footage at Meerut toll point, a police officer revealed that he has entered Delhi on May 6.
It is also seen that the investigators have picked a man from outer Delhi, who is said to have arranged around 10 sim cards for the Ajay Kumar physical education teacher and Sushil Kumar at chhatrasal Stadium. It is imagined that they dumped the SIM cards after using them.
Additional public prosecutor Atul Srivastava has opposed Kumar’s plea and has told the court that they have the electronic evidence where they have seen the ‘danda’ in the hand of Sushil Kumar.
The bail is dismissed but Additional Session Judge Jagdish Kumar has said ”It is submitted that the motive is these as the deceased, though, vacated the rented premises owned by the wife of accused [Sushil Kumar], but he has not paid the rent for two months.”
Additional DCP Dr.Guriqbal Singh Sidhu had said that they have recorded the statement of all the victims and they all have named Sushil Kumar. The quarrel had allegedly taken place between two groups i.e, Sushil Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit, and others in the parking area of the stadium.
Sushil Kumar two time medallist and he was the first Indian wrestler to win the title. He was now been arrested in the case of the murder of a junior wrestler.
Sushil Kumar’s application stated that the entire investigation is biased and based upon the wrong mindset. He has also said that he was innocent of all wrongdoings. There was a delay of 5-6 days in registering the FIR told the court, and this delay falsely involve Kumar.
